Aspen Adds A Quad For 2011/12

Aspen / Colorado will spend $27 million across its four separate ski areas this summer.

• new high speed quad chairlift at the Buttermilk ski area
  The new $7m “Tiehack Express” will take skiers nearly 600 vertical feet up to the top of the slopes in seven minutes, ten minutes faster than the previous ascent time which involved taking two successive lifts, both more than 40 years old
